In the April 2019 elections, left-wing parties in Israel received their worst results in history - just 20 seats in total; the Zionist left-wing parties Meretz and Labor won only ten seats. In March 2020, the lone Zionist left party won just seven seats, then Labor collapsed during coalition negotiations. Does electoral failure indicate the death of the left in Israel or an opportunity for rebirth and renewal? Does the left in Israel have a future?
